Wiki described it as a “reverse Dear John letter” which made me wonder if there is a female equivalency to a “Dear John” letter. What do you know, I was semi-surprised to learn that there is such thing known as a “Dear Jane” letter (click here.)
And while I have been on the receiving end of a couple of “Dear J.” letters thru the years, I can’t say that I have ever penned nor sent any “Dear Jane” ones. A case I guess, where perhaps it really was better to give than it was to receive!
