The weather for our 4th of July was perfect and made for a great evening to watch fireworks. Check out this short video of the College’s River Front Concert fireworks show filmed by Mary Lou Cullison –https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1AmeB1qQKJ
Conversely, there is all of this bad news about these floods in Texas where they were hit with 10 inches or more of rain. By comparison, the Buzzy rain gauge, courtesy of Gary Wood, recently registered 3+ inches following an overnight drenching. (However, there is a some debate about the accuracy of the Buzzy gauge as other local rain watchers put that total rainfall at closer to 2 inches. It doesn’t matter to me; my take is that even an inch of rain is ALOT of rain! A double digit rainfall would really kick, or maybe that should say, flood some ass.)
Musically, I always thought that this tune was Stevie Ray’s. However, turns out that the tunes’ creators were Larry Davis and Joe W. Scott with Fenton Robinson playing lead guitar on this the original version:
Wonder if Joe Scott ever went by J. Scott? News flash for you – in addition to those peaches that you love, Trossbach’s Produce Stand now has some sweet corn for you. Why not go get you some? Afterwards, you know what to do and where to go.
