Chief Larry and I recently re-interviewed Ray Raley for our Buzzy Podcast. I say re-interviewed him because we had previously sat down with Ray and Pat Guy in Episode 3 to discuss our experiences of having grown up in a country store (click here.)
In this followup interview that will appear in tomorrow’s Buzzyblog and on YouTube, Ray discusses his post-Raley’s Market career. He recalls various jobs that he held as well as his experiences as a dog trainer. As for the latter, here is a photo Ray showed us of him and Ripken in action at one of the dock jumping competitions they had entered.
Ray also tells the intriguing story of how he and his neighbor Mike Henderson rescued Ripken after he had fallen through the ice on their creek. (To read the 2012 front page County Times article about this rescue (click here.)
