Couple of South County events going on this weekend:
At St. Mary’s City they are making merry with some “M” doings:
At Buzzy’s, we will be doing the “B’s” as in boozing and b.s.’ing. Best you bounce down our way and join us!
And speaking of “B’s” there is also some baseball tonight as the World Series commences. Everyone seems to favor and forecast the Dodgers to beat the Blue Jays and repeat as World Champions.
Therefore, since I am on board the “B” train, how about a contrarian bet and take the Blue Jays for the upset? It is a longshot grant you, but note that since 1995 the team with the home field advantage has won 20 of 29 World Series. The Blue Jays have that going for them this time around with the first two and last two games (if needed) scheduled to be played at Rogers Center in Canada. In addition to that positive, they have Valdimir Guerrero who has been playing at a very high level so far throughout the playoffs. It will be fun to see if he can continue to do some damage against all that awesome Dodger pitching. Let the games begin!
Named after a street in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, this tune from George seems appropriate:
