I found this parody of the Twelve Days of Christmas. As you read thru it, check out how Agnes’ sign offs tend to vary as the specific gifts from John to her roll in.
At first, Agnes is impressed and lovey dovey. However, John’s gift-giving gets old quickly and after a couple days, Agnes begins to cool down.
That said however, leave it to some jewelry to re-spark Agnes when John sends her the 5 Golden Rings. Suddenly she is back to signing off with “All my love.”
Dummy John should have picked up on that little shift of tone and quit with all the bird gifts. But, to quote Belushi, noooo, as John then sends her six geese-a-laying and Agnes is back to signing off as “Cordially.” (Can’t say as I blame Agnes however, because geese really are annoying creatures!)
I will leave you to read it and see how things slip away for John and Agnes faster than measle cases growing in Texas.

Army-Navy game will be on T-V today at Buzzy’s. Both teams are good this year and have clinched a future Bowl game. Betting-wise the Over/Under is at 38.5 and traditionally the under hits 80% of the time in Army/Navy games (click here.)) So naturally for today’s game I am on the over. I will also take Navy for the win. Game starts at 3:00 so drop in if you are out and about. Note that our Commander in Chief is supposed to attend the game in Baltimore assuming that his bone spurs don’t act up.
