Nothing specific for you today other than a couple of random thoughts and a kick ass video.
Here is hoping that you have a very pleasant and a happy Holy Saturday as we prepare and look forward to the whole rising from the dead ring dang doo on tap for tomorrow. (Make that two awful Easter puns in one sentence which is pretty good eh? I may even wiggle in a “What’s up Doc” reference and go for the Easter trifecta!)
Speaking of rising, did anyone notice the flag back up at Buzzy’s Country Store? Jenny filmed me doing so the other day. I am not ashamed to confess that I always get a little charge out of doing that. (And please, no comments that I look like the Trumpster doing one of his two handed jerk off dances!)
Music-wise, I should probably play Sam’s Ring Dang Doo here; but instead, let’s try and stay current and listen to a nice tune that has been Number 1 on Billboard’s HOT 100 chart for the last 4 weeks.
Whereas Ella’s song talks about a dude leaving the lady a la “a cowboy always finds a way to leave,” the video below features an ironic twist in that it is the lady who hauls butt and leaves the dude. That is Miranda Lambert advising Ella (5:25) “we got room for one more” which induces Ella to make her move. Maybe the lyric should read that it is a cowgirl who always finds a way to leave!
Note that listening to and seeing Ella, reminded me of how dynamic and great Linda Ronstadt was back in the day when she first hit the scene as the lead singer for the Stone Ponies. I think Ella’s got that same kind of vibe going on. I can tell.
