Charlie Bennett and Bobby Wentworth were at Buzzy’s Country Store the other day putting up a campaign sign for their friend Jan Norris. They were telling me how much they had enjoyed attending Buzzy’s Car Show last month.
Charlie said that a few days after the event, he was recounting the fire-in-the-road incident to some folks at the Hole in The Wall Bar in Hollywood when one of the bar room dudes said “No damn way that could have happened. Where’d you say you were?” When Charlie told him Ridge, the guy said “Well maybe it could have happened, but I’d have to see it to believe it.” I told Charlie I’d post the photo here if he needed to provide proof.
