This Cindy Crawford Super Bowl commercial reminded me of something my brother Steve and I witnessed as pre-teenagers living at Buzzy’s Country Store. We were building tree fort # 1,020 in the walnut tree adjacent to a building behind the store. (Back then the building was an old shed barn. Later on Buzzy re-built it into the apartment where he lived.)
We heard a lady near the front of the store say to someone “I’ll just go back behind one of these buildings.” Steve and I hopped onto the roof of the barn and shimmied over to the edge of the roof to see what she was going to do.
Sure enough, she came around the corner of the barn, stopped and pulled down her shorts and panties. She then squatted down and relieved herself. And of course Steve and I almost fell off the roof.
Once she had finished her business and went back around front we hurried down to go inside and tell Buzzy what we’d seen. Buzzy said “Why didn’t you tell her there was a bathroom inside.” My brother Steve said “What we were supposed to do – yell down at her “Hey lady go inside to pee!”
I don’t recall if the lady looked liked Cindy Crawford nor for that matter what she looked like at all. When you are 12 years old and see a woman pull down her drawers, it doesn’t really matter what she looks like! However, I do remember very clearly that her shorts were blue, her panties were white and ……..
