Here’s a trick question: Alaska and Hawaii were both admitted to the U.S. at the same time but Alaska was officially deemed our 49th state while Hawaii became the 50th. Do you know why that was? Popular answer is because they did it alphabetically. “Real” answer is that Hawaii wanted it that way so that they would always be Hawaii 5-0!

When I sent Honolulu-based daughter Ryan a note asking about the Trent Williams controversy, she responded that not much was being made over it. However, she did say that the Scott Caan story was getting alot of play to the point that folks are now trying to get him tossed off of the show. Here’s why:
