My Mom’s birthday is today – 83 years young. When I checked the Today in History site I was pleasantly surprised to see that 21 August also marks the day in 1959 that Hawaii was admitted as our 50th state. My Mom and Hawaii both on the 21st now that’s pretty cool. Somewhere in Honolulu, my daughter Ryan is smiling.
