Still no word back from Pope Emeritus Benedict on my invitation for him to become the Official Greeter at Buzzy’s Country Store. Then again he may be waiting for his replacement to be chosen before he commits to a new gig so I’ll keep the position open for now.
Meanwhile the conclave to select the new Boss begins today. The following from a Washington Post article seems to summarize how things do or don’t function within the Church’s approach to things:
“For a Church that has made much progress in the area of modern communications, computer technology, Internet and Twitter, the conclave still relies on smoke signals to let the world know of its results.”
