George Michael’s Last Christmas continues to be my favorite Christmas tune. And just because it contains the line “you get the Christmas you deserve” the Father Christmas tune is still up there in my favorites box also. Number 3 would be the Eagles’ version of “Please Come for Christmas.” However, it too is a a bit dark.
Then yesterday I laid Joni’s big downer “River” song on you. So, fearing a pattern here, that all of my favorite Christmas tunes tend to skew to the down side, how about this one for capturing the sheer fun and bs that really is what Christmas is all about anyway? Bon Jovi’s version of Chuck Berry’s Run Run Rudolph. Even us Scrooges got to smile. Merry Christmas to you.
