Watching the Super Bowl on a cruise ship this year was a little different. Halfway thru the first quarter Pam asked “Where are the commercials?” She only pays attention to the SB commercials whereas years of watching sports has taught me to tune out the commercial breaks. For some reason, the cruise ship broadcast did not include any commercials. Wouldn’t you know it, the one time you don’t mind watching commercials, they don’t show them.
Post Super Bowl however, the only one that piqued my interest was the Chrysler commercial featuring the Dylan man. Here it is:

As always with anything that Dylan does, there has been some churn about him “selling out” by doing this commercial.
But I have to wonder if Bob wasn’t just being sarcastic here. At the time that he was making this, Chrysler was in the process of being bought out by Fiat. Could Bob have just been messing with them aka “Things Have Changed” as he says at the very end of the commercial?
When Dylan came out with a Christmas album a few years back, a buddy of mine emailed me and asked “What do you think?” I replied “Nothing that Dylan does surprises me.”
