John Carbone recently sent me a CNN listing of the 12 best travel songs (click here.) “Born to Be Wild” at #1,”Born to Run” #2, Willie #3 and Dylan at #4 makes it a good list. (Never really thought of “Tangled Up in Blue” as a travel song but as with a lot of Bob’s stuff I never know what he’s talking about anyway.) That said however, here are two more travel-related songs that I would have had on my list. One is old and one is new.
Ricky Nelson. I remember skipping the first 25 minutes of watching Ozzie and Harriet just to catch Ricky doing a song at the end of the show.
And here is a new song from the Black Keys a group I’ve liked since I first heard them in the old Tower Records’ Store in the Annapolis Harbor Place shopping center (click here for related post.) Anytime I’m up that way now I always check out the old tower above the building just for nostalgia’s sake.
