On what was to be our last overseas trip, Buzzy and I visited Ireland. We toured all around the country including a stop in Northern Ireland’s Derry which I’ve discussed before (click here.)
This all came to mind the other day when I found this Blarney Luckstone which Buzzy had purchased when we were there at the Blarney Castle. I remember him buying it and being a little surprised that he actually did so. Seemed like a lot of money for a little rock that despite what they claimed as being “an authentic piece from the same quarry that the Blarney Castle was quarried” I had my doubts. I tried to talk Buzzy out of buying it. His take was “What the hell, it’ll be something worth having as a momento.” Of course, he was right and now I’m glad that he didn’t listen to me and did buy it.
Then there’s this video song worth watching if no other reason than to check out the dog’s appearance at 0:33 mark and to hear the lyric “cunning linguist.”
