Above is a photo of the ongoing construction of a new cell phone/communications tower in Piney Point. It is located on Rt. 249 in a field just across from the Steuart Petroleum property.

With all these towers (over 30 of them in the County) it makes you wonder why we have any reception dead zones. Going down 249 there are a couple dead spots so maybe this new tower will correct that. Reminds me of the joke “We got married beneath the cell phone tower. The ceremony wasn’t much, but the reception was great.” Here’s a classic telephone call song for you.
