My Mom’s 84 today! And yes, she’s all smiles about it.

Speaking of her friends, Mom relayed a funny story involving her other best friend Judy Raley. Pam and I met Mom and my sister Donna for lunch following Donna having given Mom a tour of her new condo. Mom noted that she had gone to Mass that morning and when Judy asked her what her plans were for the day, Mom told her that she was going with Donna to see Donna’s new condom. Judy laughed and said to Mom “Jean, I think you meant her new condominium.”
But here’s my favorite recent photo of my Mom taken by her God son Jay Raley a few months ago when he was home visiting his mom Judy. Jay titled it appropriately enough “All Smiles:”
And only because today is Flashback Friday, here is a rare photo from several years back that I’m not sure who took of the 3 of us. I say it’s rare because there are very few photos of Mom, Steve and me. Regardless who took it, neither of us seems to be particularly happy about being photographed whatever the occasion was.
