I haven’t done anything photographic-wise in awhile here on the Buzzyblog. Recently I have seen a couple of exceptional black and white photo’s that made me stop and say “Wow, that’s a great photo.”
First up is one taken by Brian Barnhill that I have posted previously here on the Buzzyblog. I saw it again the other day at Brian and Sharon’s house where they have enlarged it as a canvas copy.
Great photo showing how these older beach communities have their assortment of homes and piers scattered along beachfronts as the Bay does it thing.
Second up is this Sheryl (Hall) McKinnon’s Facebook profile pic. I like the way that it’s framed, how all their faces are aligned and how everyone is smiling – well, maybe Lauren is only thinking about smiling but all in all this is a great photo of Sheryl, her husband Michael and daughters Kate and Lauren.
And then I stumbled upon something discussing the movie The Graduate where they showed this famous black and white promo:
Compare that to the color version used for the soundtrack album cover:
The black and white copy has it all over the color version. Little trivia for you – whose leg is it in the photo. Like most folks, you probably said Anne Bancroft who played Mrs. Robinson but the correct answer is Linda Gray aka Sue Ellen on Dallas (click here.)
