It's June!

Come on, admit it, June is your favorite month.  I think because it stirs up all those school-related memories of being “free at last” to pursue your summer vacation(s.)

June gets its name from the Roman Goddess Juno who was a little bit of a bi-polar kind of babe.  On the one hand, she was viewed as the patron saint of marriage and childhood.  This is one of the reasons why June became THE month to marry. 

On the other hand however,  Juno also was portrayed as a military kind of gal who acted as a protector and a general bad ass.  (There is some story about her geese helping to save the day (click here.)  Overall, Juno sounds like she was a happening kind of lady.

That’s a lot of partying isn’t it?  Another reason why June is such a great month!
