I was cleaning up in the Store the other day when Van’s Wavelength played on the radio. I cranked it up and for the next 5-6 minutes my mood immediately brightened as I listened and realized again just what a great f’ing song it is.
The line “You never let me down no” always makes me stop and smile as I think of the various folks I have known that I can say that about. Blessed with good family and friends, I can state that there are quite a few people like that in my life. Great video below that captures the vibe of the song – let’s just say it’s on the same wavelength.
Immediately after hearing the song on the radio, I switched over to catch the latest news. Imagine my reaction when I overheard President IQ45 say that Rand Paul had “never let him down” (click here for story.) Oh mama, that was a weird coincidence.
Great lead guitar is played here by Bobby Tench while Peter Bardens plays the synthesizer. Not a big fan of synthesizer music, this one works for me. It brings back all those memories of being up in my bedroom above the Store counter trying to dial in WKBW on my beat up radio. Music is something that I can also say has never let me down.
