Re: my previous post about all time best T-V finales, Cheers ranked No.1. I have discussed previously how I would encourage Buzzy to watch Cheers because I thought he would relate to it. He would ask me “What’s it about?” I would reply “It’s about a guy who has a bar with a bunch of characters sitting around.” Buzzy would respond “I don’t need to watch that. I got that in here every night.” As far as I know he never did watch any episode of Cheers.
The Cheers finale was ok but it wouldn’t have been my No. 1. (Newhart’s (#8 on the rankings) remains my selection for all time best ending.) Here is the description of the Cheers’ finale:
The following was not Cheers’ final scene described above but one leading up to it. Look for who each Cheers’ character reminds you of compared to a similar Buzzy’s character. For instance I have always associated Cheers’ Cliff with Buzzy’s Clutch.
