Sunday Facebook Reflections

Just when I begin to think about going Facebookless something will pop up on my timeline that catches my eye and keeps me hooked in.  It reminds me of Little Steven as Silvio parodying Pacino’s Godfather scene “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in?”)

use Facebook as a promotional tool for Buzzy’s Country Store events and things going on at the Store.  Thus, I am every bit as guilty as anyone for using it for mostly selfish reasons.  However, all of the posts about food and recipes along with photos of dead deer and caught fish I can simply whiz through and not think twice about.

As for all of the political stuff I have simply unfollowed folks who pass that sort of regurgitated crap along .  Life is just too short to waste it on reading useless information from useless people.

BUT having said all that, I must confess that there is some value in Facebook when I see the likes of postings such as the following.  As  Sil said – it’s what keeps pulling me back in.:

My Buzzy Neighbor and His Daughter Cheyenne
Donald At Work Where He Has Been a Facilities Coordinator on Base For Forever

I don’t reply to any Facebook postings.  However, on Ellie’s and Gina’s above I came very close to writing something along the lines “We all miss him and life really is not the same with the Bartman no longer around.”

Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is her most famous tune on her Merry Christmas album.  However, the following is also on that album and it really hits home when thinking about loved ones who are no longer here to celebrate the holidays with us.
