Hal David supposedly wrote the lyrics to I Say a Little Prayer for You about a woman thinking of her man in Vietnam (click here.) David’s co-writer Burt Bacharach did not care for their finished recording with Dionne Warwick because he thought that it sounded too rushed.
Anne Murray slowed it way down and along with Glen Campbell gave it an entirely different feel with their medley version here. (The video definitely gives it a different feel too!)
