No matter how old and forgetful I am becoming, thanks to 12 years of Catholic school indoctrination, it will always cross my mind that today, 8 December, is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It is still considered a Holy Day of Obligation meaning you are supposed to go to Mass today.
Aside from Allen Iverson’s Mom Ann (click here) Mary is the only other female ever to have conceived without intercourse. Wonder when/if Ann will ever get a feast day?
In the music world however, today is remembered as the day the music died for John Lennon and in turn the Beatles as we knew them.
Obviously, nobody told John that he should have stayed home that evening.
