Thought that it might be fitting today to pass along this poem by Dudley Randall. (Plus I am trying to redeem myself a little for my previous attempt at posting something poetry-related that had to do with an Edgar Allan “Poe’l” Christmas item. Let’s just say that it was not very well received and that not everyone saw the humor in it. Then again, Poe never was known much for his humor anyway.)
Today however, I promise, this will be much more sobering: Mr. Randall’s most famous poem about a 1963 church bombing. Given that churches are still being bombed, it makes you wonder if we have made any progress on this at all.
