Been considering a new occasional feature here on the Buzzyblog titled “Go Big or Go Home.” It is an expression used mostly in gambling circles. (Much to my dismay too, as I went big on Purdue the other night and my bookie went home with my $100 bet on them.) However, if you look around some, you will find that GBOGH can be applied to other situations such as the following.
For this, the inaugural GBOGH Buzzyblog offering, how about a non-gambling-related sample as in – if you are gonna screw up an advertising campaign, then screw it up big.
Check out the following to see if it doesn’t strike you as a bit “off.” (I spent a couple minutes studying and rotating it, only to finally give up, hit the comments and learn the answer as in “It is NOT Maryland!”.
Figure it out? Not only is it the wrong state, but to add insult to injury it is fricking New York (albeit rotated 90 degrees.)
Then again, maybe someone did know what they were doing and plopped our glorious flag on NY just to piss them off. Doubt it, but you know how we conspiracists tend to overthink things.
And speaking of doing things up bigly, here is Toby’s musical take on it:
P.S. Toby was born in Clinton, Oklahoma a place on the Rt. 66 path with an interesting history worth checking out (click here.)
