Willie moving on this past Tuesday made me wonder how he got his nickname the Say Hey Kid. Here is the rest of that story:
I tried to find out more info on Barney the sportswriter, but the Google search engines kept sending me to Flinstones-related sources. Poor Barney K. he didn’t even get a Wiki entry. However, he and his family can take solace in the fact that he did make the Buzzyblog.
Music-wise, let’s do a quick commercial here before listening to a 1981 tune in Willie’s memory.
St. Mary’s College resumes their summer concert series tonight featuring “Bach and Buds!” I seriously doubt that that tandem act has been paired up too often in music concert history.
And speaking of Buds, you do know where to get some pre-concert if you are in South County. Say hey, maybe I can talk the College into re-titling tonight’s concert “Bach, Buds and Buzzy’s.”
Terry Cashman, who does have a Wiki page, will probably see an uptick in his royalty checks this month from all the folks wanting to hear this tune in Willie’s memory.
