No Parking?

Since I do not like paying for parking, I had to smile at Foxworthy’s June 14th calendar stipulation:

I thought of that just now after securing some Orioles’ tickets for this coming Sunday’s game against the Yankees and checked out parking options as follows:

Note How the Closest Is the Mostest

Fact is, redneck or not, I have always hated to pay for parking. I don’t know if that is from being a redneck, or just the Buzzy in me not wanting to pony up good money for something that I feel should otherwise be free.

However, given that this dude named Father Time is screwing with me, my dislike of paying to park has lessened some to the point that I don’t really mind paying for it. I don’t enjoy paying for it mind you; but I can now accept the value added in doing so.

On the topic of parking matters, were you aware that there is a prepositional discussion about whether to say “in/on or at” when parking? If interested in that somewhat nuanced discussion (click here.) You may be a redneck if you don’t care.

This tune from Kevin Ayers has nothing to do with parking, but it caught my ear the other day when I heard it playing on XM’s Underground channel. He was another life long, very talented musician who just never made it but his story is worth checking out (click here.)
