Quick follow-up to yesterday’s Buzzyblog post on the Oyster Festival which continues today at the Fairgrounds.
The following is something Chief Larry generated via ChatGPT. I think he instructed ChatGPT to come up with a flyer having to do with oysters, walnuts, Buzzy’s and its owner looking as doofy as possible.
I am not too wild about Chat’s depiction of me as it makes me look like I have been snorting the walnuts and not just shucking them. However, vanity was never one of my favorite sins, so I let it all ride. Randy Newman has a line in one of his songs “I’d sell my soul for a song.” I can say the same about a laugh even if it is one at my own expense.
As for self-deprecating humor however, check out the nice little movie “The Baltimorons.” Great acting, great directing, great soundtrack and it even makes Baltimore look kind of nice.
