Ah yes, Christmas decorations for the most wonderful time of the year. I spotted these yesterday on my drive down to Buzzy’s Country Store.
Located a mile or so south of the Great Mills Post Office just before Hilton Ridge Estates on Mark Cullison’s property, these three displays hit all the decorating notes: classy, funny and a little advertising thrown in.
When I checked out Summer Breeze Farms’ FB page, I found their photo of the Grinch getting his fair share of abuse.
Music-wise I always thought that the Seals and Croft Summer Breeze version was an ok tune; but I never turned the radio up when it came on. Nor did I shell out any coin to buy it.
However, check out the Isley fellas doing their version of it. Note lead guitarist Ernie Isley doing his best Jimi impersonation right down to wearing the headband. At one time Jimi played in the backup band for the three Isley brothers Ronnie, Rudy and O’Kelley. When Jimi went solo, Ernie joined up with his brothers. Today Ronnie and Ernie continue to tour as the Isley Brothers.
