Yesterday Jimmy Cullison put the finishing touches on clearing the parking lot at Buzzy’s Country Store. He said he wanted to make sure the lot was good and clear so that it would be easier to deal with the next snow storm that was forecasted as being on the way. Thought to myself – now that’s being prepared – plowing away the remains of one snowstorm to better deal with the one coming.
Then I tried formulating a metaphor for life based on this: sometimes to get ready for a big mess, you have to clean up the current one you find yourself in. But the more important lesson is – if you do find yourself with a mess on your hands, it’s good to have friends like Jimmy who can help bail you out!
