Hammering Hank

Pictured here is my son Brady standing in front of the memorial to Hank Aaron in the center field parking lot at Turner Field in Atlanta.

When Turner Field was built in 1996 for the Olympics, they tore down the old Fulton County ball park where Hank had set the home run record. To commemorate that feat however, they kept the part of the fence where the home run was hit and now have it in the middle of a parking lot at Turner.

Nationals defeated the Braves 6-4 this past Thursday so I’m not sure the Atlanta fans appreciate the luck Brady and I brought them!
