I saw that today is the anniversary of Duane Allman dying in a motorcycle accident in 1971 click here.
Got me thinking about their famous roadie Joseph “Red Dog” Campbell who has written a book “The Legendary Red Dog: a Book of Tails”  (Also learned that Red Dog is not doing too well click here.)

There’s a County connection with Red Dog that I learned about from my buddy Bobby Bean.  Several years back the Allman Brothers were in town touring and Bobby told me he was going to their concert and had back stage passes courtesy of Red Dog.  He went on to explain how he and Red Dog had attended Great Mills High School together and hung out back in the day.  Next day Bobby brought in a pair of drum sticks that Red Dog had given him at the previous nights’ show.  I may have to get Red Dog’s book just to see if he mentions being here in the County during his formative years!
