Re: my previous post on Joe Green’s “Usetabe” video, it starts off asking “Do you remember where Kammies usetabe?” The reference is to a store Kammies Market located on the North Shore. (I would imagine that one of the photo’s in Joe’s video is a shot of the old Kammies, but I can’t confirm that. I also found this link with some info on the original Kammies’ location prior to its being torn down in the early 90’s click here.)
All of this leads me to hope that there never comes a day when folks will sit around and have a “do you remember where Buzzy’s usetabe” type of discussion.

However, when we were driving thru Haleiwa, I asked Ryan if there were any Buzzy-type country stores in the area. She directed me to Chuns located off the main drag a bit and I grabbed this photo. Unfortunately Chuns was closed so I didn’t get to go inside and check it out. Next time.
