Several folks from the Baltimore Bird Club were in Buzzy’s Country Store yesterday having just returned from visiting Smith Island click here and scroll to Apr 14. 

When I asked one of them what had they seen that had impressed, a nice lady commented “A Monarch Butterfly.”  

Not too up to speed on my butterfly-ology*, I did a little research click here and found that the Monarch (left) is indeed the “King of Butterflies.” 

(*Daughter Reagan is my butterfly expert but she’s on a cruise ship to Bermuda ’til mid-week.  Hence, I’ll have to wait for her input.)
