The above headline click here for rest of story brought back a James Bond-related memory for me. Back in Eighth Grade at St. Michael’s School, Sister Genevieve Marie confiscated a copy of the paperback The Spy Who Loved Me that Jimmy Nicotera had just passed along to me to read. As she took the book from me, Sister asked “Does your mother approve of you reading smut?”
Although she never returned the book to me, I bet it was a well received addition to the convent’s library. (Actually, now that I think about it, Sister was a little nicer to me after that incident.)
Speaking of beer news, Anheuser is promoting its newest beer import from its parent company in Belgium Fat Tire. Seems the big trend/fad in beer circles now is amber ale.
I have some in stock at Buzzy’s Country Store. Won’t be able to sell much of it in winter time to my regulars, but in summer time, tourists will buy it. In fact, I just sold a six pack of it this past Good Friday. Doubt that my Mom and Sister Genevieve would have approved of that either.
