Capt. Jerry Norris celebrated his 83rd birthday last week. We had a little cake and beer party for him at Buzzy’s Country Store. I had told my Mom earlier about it and invited her to drop in. When she showed up with a vase of flowers as a gift for Jerry I asked her what she was doing bringing Jerry flowers. She laughed and explained that she thought that I had said it was Jerry’s wife Flora’s birthday. Regardless of whom the flowers were for, Capt. Jerry found the humor in all of it.
