Gary “Chop Chop” Norris continues to recover from his operation this past Thursday in U of Maryland Hospital. He was operated on to remove an aneurysm lodged somewhere behind his ear. His wife Sue’s initial post op emails sounded a little scary as she detailed Gary’s time in ICU. But now it sounds pretty good for the Ridge boy. Here is an excerpt from Sue’s latest update:
What a difference 24hrs (actually less) can make ----- 1 drain tube is out
(1 still in), oxygen is off and swallow test is ordered!! .... He LOOKs great
today -- sitting more upright, less tubes/blood and much more interactive!!!! Not
sure how soon the move will occur (pending bed availability).....but his current
nurse is fantastic and plans to have Gary in a chair for the Redskin game! I am
an ecstatic wife right now......as shared what a difference a day makes!!!!!
Glad to hear that Gary is doing so well. (Reading/hearing that phrase ‘what a difference a day makes’ always reminds me of this Moby Grape tune:)
