At the dentist the other day, in between the Novocaine and the drilling, I heard a Christmas tune on their radio. I asked the dental assistant what her favorite Christmas tune was and without hesitating she said “Santa Baby.” I asked her which version she liked but she couldn’t name one in particular. Eartha Kitt did it first, but I always thought that the Material Girl’s rendition of it wasn’t too bad either.
