The Ravens drafted a Kansas State linebacker by the name of Arthur Brown. It brought back some “hazy,” ok why be coy, some druggy memories for me of “The Crazy World of Arthur Brown.” I not only had his album by that title but also had him on 8 track. As I’d ride around Ridge blasting the song’s opening line “I am the God of hellfire and I bring you fire,” it drew some attention that I really didn’t need at the time. (A number of fires had been set in the area and the authorities were “hot” to bust someone for it.)
I was semi-surprised then to see that the God of Hellfire himself is still around and doing it (witness his website.)
