I thought of Marvin Gaye just the other day when I heard on the radio that on 2 April he would have been 74 had he lived. Turns out that April was the cruelest month for Marvin because in 1984 on 1 April his father shot and killed him. The gun that the father used was one that Marvin had previously given him as a gift.
