The Home Grown Farm Market, located at 21078 Three Notch Road, Lexington Park will be open Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. through June 15. Check out their website click here.
And for you big kids who may want to just relax and sip a glass of wine, have a sandwich and look out over Calvert Creek, Woodlawn is now open daily (Wed – Sun) from noon to 6 pm. (I’ve heard that Calvert Creek was named after Lord Calvert’s son who supposedly drowned in it. That the tract of land around there is also known as Calvert’s Rest may lend some credence to that. However, I’m not certain that there’s any proof of all that folklore. Where’s Regina Hammett when you need her?)
Then there’s this Country Store in South County where you can bring the kids and drink. I’m working on the eating part. When folks now come into the Store and ask if I serve any food, I tell them that Buzzy’s is the un-Whole Food Store in that we have nothing to eat that is good for them. Snacks, chips, candy, ice cream yes. The healthy food is something I’m looking into. For now, just come and drink.
