Joey Porter donated this sign to the Buzzy art collection and I have displayed over the beer case. I debated whether or not to display it because I anticipated having to spend a lot of time explaining it, which I do on occasion. Here’s an article discussing just how some of these conversations spin out.
While I haven’t had anyone get too upset with me, I have encountered some folks who obviously did not “get” the joke and made some testy comment about false advertising.
This photo below was captioned “How to Catch a Canadian.” I’m sure that there are some other ethnic variations on this theme (e.g. a case of Corona) but Canadians are such good sports that the originator probably felt safe offending them.
