When I was Youtubing the other day for a rainy day/no sunshine song, I came upon Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine tune. I’ve got his Greatest Hits somewhere in the rotation with Lean on Me, Two of Us, Use Me Up but have always particularly liked the Ain’t No Sunshine tune mostly because of the “I know, I know, I know” groove (click here for how many times he says it.) Songfacts also discloses how he came to record it:
You know the Ain’t No Sunshine tune (click here if you got to hear it after I have just mentioned it. With over 60 million views you’ll join the crowd.) However, here’s a lesser known tune of Bill’s, more suitable for a sunny day like today. (I apologize in advance for the video containing all those pictures of cats and other cute animals including kids, something I try to avoid here on Buzzyblog. However, this image (right) from the video at the :40 mark more than compensates for all of the annoying little critters that you are forced to otherwise endure when watching this video:)
