last week about Mike Rollins’ daughter Sherrie being in the Store? After she told me who she was and that she was the flower girl in my sister Donna Jean’s wedding, I showed her her Dad’s photo on the beer case. In the post I did on it, I wondered about the background to the photo.
Well, I found out via this email from my sister Donna who described the background to the Mike Rollins’ photo as follows:
“It was taken in 1979 on our first sailboat. We brought our boat down the Potomac from Goose Bay and stayed at Bart Mettam’s a few days. While there we took lots of people sailing. I’m pretty sure you have a picture of Bobby Demko and Dad sailing with us one day. Mike and Beasy went with us in late afternoon and turned into an evening sail. This was taken of Mike at the helm. He was a natural.”
Here is the photo of Bobby D and Dad sailing and ironically enough is also on the beer case right next to Captain Mike’s sailing photo.
