Now that we have some cut-taxes-Republicans in charge of things, maybe they’ll get rid of that crazy “rain tax” that makes Maryland look a little nutty. Nutty enough to have gotten us at #5 on this Kiplinger list of weird taxes (click here.) But check out the other 9 on this list and you’ll see that Maryland is not the only state with some weird taxes. Also, this article does good job explaining the background of the rain tax. Biggest problem I have with it is that it’s led to the bastardization of one of Creedence’s best songs (click here.)
