Here is a useful little tool for those of you who like to do comparison shopping when it is time to gas up (click here.) Bob Mann sent it to me and I’ve checked it out re: the gas stations in Callaway and Great Mills and it appears to be fairly accurate or at least it was Sunday when I checked it out. (South County gas providers such as Cooks and Ridge Market were not on the list.)
Years ago when we worked together on Base, I remember having a discussion with Mickey Bowes about where he buys gas. Mickey had a pretty good method that he explained as follows: “Whenever I’m low on gas, I check out the prices at every gas station I pass on the way into work and then I stop at the lowest place on the way back home after work to gas up.”
However, I’m not so sure that Mickey’s system would work today because gas prices seem to be changing by the hour. Some folks are predicting that gas prices will continue to fall in 2016 (click here.) I say enjoy it while you can because you know that what goes down will come up.
Reminded me of this scene from the movie Hot Chick. Remember when gas stations were full service?
