St. Michael’s Church and Rectory 1946

Here is a photo from Regina Hammett’s notes and files on St. Michael’s Church.  Photo was taken from atop the School.  Note all of the old trees in the parking lot along with the three pairs of nuns walking towards the school.   There is probably some analogy to be made about old trees and nuns: something along the lines about how they stood tall and strong and served us so well for so long.   Treeless and nunless, the St. Michael’s parking lot is now neatly paved and orderly.  Think I like this 1946 version better.
