Last week when the Grandkids were off school, I took Lily down to Buzzy’s Country Store with me one day. As she decamped behind the counter and interacted with my Buzzy friends and visitors, I was impressed with how much of a natural she is. Got a little Buzzy in her I must say.
First thing she did was ask me what product I sold the most of. After I told her “Beer” she created some “We Have Beer”marketing materials and placed them on the counter for all to see.
Next she came up with a new product line:
Not sure how that will work out but Buzzy’s Country Cupcakes by Lily does have a nice ring to it.
My Mom dropped in for a visit and gave Lily an early Easter present that she had just picked up at the Dollar Store. After Mom left, Lily then saw another marketing opportunity by selling Mom’s gift at a considerable profit. (Guess, I still have to teach her how to conceal the original price of the product with our newer/re-sale one.)
As for customer service and interaction with people, Lily already has that down. As Pam Birmingham was sorting through and arranging her jewelry items for sale in Buzzy’s Country Store, Lily assisted her. Pam then rewarded her with a nice necklace. Lily’s learned very young in life that you get what you give.
On the way home to Piney Point Lily was smooth when she sweet talked me “Gran J, I really hope that nothing happens to you, but if it does, could you leave the Store to me? I like working there.”
