Two 54’s?

I know that I shouldn’t put any stock into things like the following when they happen.  However, this was just too much of a coincidence for me not to pass along.

I was in the process of doing my daily review of various websites that I check out when I came upon this Baynet note about the Tiki Bar owner:

I didn’t know Mr. Clarke personally but always respected his efforts in owning and managing the Tiki Bar particularly his annual Opening Day party.  That he was only 54 made me sad that he went out of here so young.

Another website that I like to check in with on a daily basis is This Day in Rock History even if it sometimes makes me feel very old!

There
I found this item on Robert Palmer and couldn’t help but note that he too was 54 when he moved on:

British singer Robert Palmer, best known for his dapper dressing style and his iconic videos in the 1980s for songs like “Addicted to Love,” dies. He is 54. Palmer, who had lived in Switzerland for the previous 16 years, dies in Paris after a quiet dinner and a movie.

I don’t usually play the Daily Lottery but I may just have to lay some coin on 254 today.

I’ve played most of Palmer’s bigger hits for you previously but this this video here gives you a good idea what a classy and musically innovative performer he was.
